Oceania Rugby Board appoints 'Aloma Johansson [1]

Tonga’s 'Aloma Johansson is one of several women on the new Oceania Rugby Board.
'Aloma was one of two new board members appointed to the position of non-elected independent director. A business consultant and accountant, she is a former Tonga Chamber of Commerce President and was the first woman to sit on the Tongan Rugby Union Authority and was interim CEO in 2011/12.
The other new board member is Fiji’s Cathy Wong who has been appointed as non-elected Women’s director. Cathy, a physiotherapist contributing to the growth of sports medicine in the region, is Fiji’s Chef de Mission for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and was physio for various Fijian national sports teams. She is currently a member of the ONOC Medical Commission.
Oceania Rugby is one of six regional associations of World Rugby and represents interests of its 16 Member Unions and 1 Associate Member to promote the growth of rugby in the region. The appointments were announced by the General Manager Asia & Oceania, William Glenwright.
