Police have ruled out any suspicion in regards to the death of German man, Wolfgang Borner (59) who was found dead at sea in ‘Eua on December 30, 2015.

A spokesperson from Tonga Police headquarters in Longlongo this afternoon confirmed that police investigation was complete and they were not treating his death as suspicious.

His next of kin in Germany have been informed on the outcome of our investigation, the police stated.

His remains were recovered from the seabed by divers on 31 December and he was buried in 'Eua.
