Nuku‘alofa wins TIGFA Xmas fishing competition [1]

The Nuku’alofa Fishing Club was declared the winner of the Tonga International Game Fishing Association’s 2015 Christmas fishing competition on Saturday afternoon, 12 December at the Nuku’alofa Fishing Clubhouse.
The annual TIGFA competition spread over three days has two phases, one among club members and the other between the two national Game Fishing Clubs of Vava’u and Nuku’alofa.
Neal Dalgety, an executive member of the Nuku’alofa Fishing Club, said that on the national level, Vava’u had been dominating the annual competition, but not this year, when they managed to accumulate only 110.14 points comparing with the Nuku’alofa Club's 212.31 points.
This year’s three-days competition took place on December 5, 7, 12 , and the major sponsor was the Popao Brewery.
