Swiss Ambassador visits Tonga Red Cross [1]

HE Mr David Vogelsanger, the Ambassador of Switzerland to Tonga visited the Tonga Red Cross Office in Nuku’alofa on Wednesday, 27 May.
 
Sione Taumoefolau the Secretary-General said the International Red Cross movement was initiated from Switzerland. The Ambassador had also worked with the International Committee of the Red Cross before his diplomatic duties,
 
Sione said he was happy to inform the Ambassador about their current activities. “We also talked about future projects that he can offer assistance in. He will return for the King’s Coronation where we will hold further talks,” he said.

The Ambassador who is based in Wellington, New Zealand, was on an official visit to Tonga this week, and it was his first visit to the Red Cross Office.
