Tonga wins first game in U20 [1]

Tonga U20 rugby team defeated Hong Kong 35-16 at Estadio Universitario, Lisbon, Portugal yesterday, 12 May.
It was Tonga’s first game of the Under 20’s Trophy tournament that is currently being held in Lisbon, Portugal.
Hong Kong put the first points on the scoreboard according to an IRB report, but Tonga bounced back with a try by No. 14 Talia’uli Sikuea. The Tongan team launched a number of successful offensive attacks that by half time they were leading 21-9.
During the second half, fly-half Siaosi Taina and full-back Feliuaki Halaifonua also scored tries.
The eight teams in the tournament are grouped into Pool A and Pool B.
Tonga is in Pool B together with Hong Kong, Canada and Namibia. In Pool A are Fiji, Uruguay, Georgia and Portugal.
After the first day of the tournament.
In Pool A, Georgia beat Uruguay 46-12 and Fiji beat Portugal 34-19.
In Pool B, Canada beat Namibia 35-20 and Tonga beat Hong Kong 35-16.
Tonga’s next game will be against Namibia on Sunday morning 17 May.
