Lord Fusitu'a takes father's seat [1]

Lord Fusitu’a (42) won the Nobles' By-election for the Niuafo’ou and Niuatoputapu seat in the Tonga Legislative Assembly with two votes this morning.
He will take the seat that was vacated by his father, the late Lord Fusitu'a who died in April.
On 6 May his son Mata'i'ulua 'i Fonuamotu was installed with the hereditary title Fusitu'a by King Tupou VI.
Pita Vuki the Supervisor of Elections, said that Lord Fusitu’a won two votes against the other two nobles candidates, Lord Fotofili and Lord Tangipa at the Palace Office, Nuku'alofa.
The three Niuas nobles vote among themselves.
