Tonga U20 thrashed by Georgia U20 34 – 10 [1]

An ill-disciplined Tongan Under-20’s Rugby team was thrashed by the Georgian U20’s 34 – 10 in Hong Kong on Monday 7 April.
The game was the opener for the Junior World Rugby Trophy tournament. The Junior World Rugby Trophy Tournament is a competition made up of 12 second-tier U20 national teams and Tonga is considered to be one of the most formidable opponents.
However, the young Tongans were left with a mountainous task after trailing the Georgians 21 – 0 in the first-half. Things only got harder for the boys after three of their players were yellow-carded in the second-half for rough play.
Tonga’s only try was scored by hooker Taimikovi Fangatua, the end result: Georgia 34 – Tonga 10.
Tonga is to play the home-team Hong Kong today 11 April.
