- Chief Manager - Building and Property Department
As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will support the Governor while spearheading the Building and Property Department’s mission to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable facilities that enable NRBT’s critical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the NRBT’s building and property management operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
- Oversee building operations, resource optimization, and proactive issue resolution.
- Manage and supervise contractors, service providers, and internal facilities teams to ensure adherence to the bank’s standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with government authorities, regulators, and external stakeholders to maintain compliance with building codes, safety standards, and operational guidelines.
- Drive continuous improvement in facilities management systems and data management to support operational efficiency.
- Ensure exceptional tenants experience through responsive and professional service delivery.
- Manage performance and develop capacity of the building and property team while adhering to the NRBT’s policies and procedures.
To be eligible for this position, the candidate must obtain the following:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or related field from a recognized institution. A Master’s Degree in relevant field will be an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years’ of relevant technical experience, project coordination and management or closely related fields.
- Strong expertise in assessing infrastructure risks, driving sustainable building practices, and maintaining high standards of safety and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to manage confidential facilities data and ensure secure handling of property-related documentation and access control information.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, including report writing and high level of computer literacy.
- Senior System Analyst - Network
This position supports the Chief Manager Information Technology in maintaining and advancing our critical network infrastructure. This role is essential to minimizing downtime and ensuring secure, high-availability systems that support NRBT’s mandate under the NRBT’s Acts and Regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, install, configure, and monitor all network hardware, software, and communication systems.
- Maintain network security and ensure high system availability
- Support NRBT’s technological objectives through strategic IT solutions.
To be eligible for this position, the candidate must obtain the following:
- Bachelor Degree in Information Technology (IT), Information System (IS), Network Management, or related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3 year of relevant IT and/or IS including Computer Network System, Communication systems, Information Security, Database Management, Security System, network devices, Patch Management and Website developments.
- Must have a good understanding and knowledge of Network Management and Server Management.
- Strong English and Tongan communication skills in both written and oral communication, including report writing.
- Currency Officer – Teller
This position supports the Chief Manager Currency to deliver exceptional teller services while maintaining the highest standards of currency quality and security. You will play a vital role in currency distribution, quality control and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality control of currency notes and proper revaluation of damaged notes.
- Process cash transactions efficiently and maintain accurate daily reconciliations.
- Handle counterfeit note reporting and investigation.
- Manage local and overseas coin and numismatic sales with precise record-keeping.
To be eligible for this position, the candidate must obtain the following:
- Diploma in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience (banking/finance background preferred)
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, World, Outlook, Access)
- Good numeracy, multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and customer service skills
- Strong English and Tongan communication skills in both written and oral communication, including report writing.
