Tonga Power Limited is a Public Enterprise responsible for the generation, distribution and supply of electricity to consumers in Tonga. Applicants are invited to apply for the position of Human Resources Manager and Property Manager with the Tonga Power Limited Head Office at Lakalakaimonū Building of Matatoa, Tofoa.
1. HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Reporting directly to the CEO of Tonga Power Limited, as the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for actively providing HR services to the CEO, management team and staff of Tonga Power Limited. The key purpose of this role is to provide daily and timely Human Resources support services, develop and deliver guidelines and manage Managers in the provision of human resource policies, procedures and programmes for the Company.

To be considered for this position, the applicant must have at least a Bachelor in Human Resource Management, Business or a related discipline with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role and ideally have the following;
- proven experience and demonstrated ability to think strategically and work operationally,
- be competent to build a high performing team and effectively manage interpersonal relationship at all levels,
- have high level of computer knowledge, HR and Payroll System experience,
- be people oriented and results driven,
- have outstanding presentation skills,
- Ability to be able to act at all times in a confidential and trustworthy manner,
- have in-depth knowledge of relevant laws, HR Policies and Procedures,
- strong organisational skills, attention to details, sense of urgency, and
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Tongan.
2. PROPERTY MANAGER
Reporting directly to the CEO of Tonga Power Limited, as the Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing operations of Tonga Power Limited properties in Tongatapu and the outer islands office buildings and managing the day-to-day needs of these properties, including repair and maintenance.

To be considered for this position, the applicant must have at least a Bachelor in Property Management, or a related discipline with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role and ideally have the following;
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and work operationally
- Well organized with excellent time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Excellent application of common sense
- Exercise effective, objective and timely decision making
The Board reserves the right to consider individuals who may not meet the specific qualifications outlined above but possess substantial relevant experience and expertise.

Remuneration will depend on experience and performance.
