Substandard facilities and medical cover in Tonga and Samoa have caused the Welsh Rugby Union to reconsider the destinations of their summer tour next year according to Welsh media.
The Welsh are scheduled to tour Tonga and Samoa in June next year but it is believed there are concerns that if the welfare of their players are not met, relocation of the test games is imminent.
The test games could be moved to Auckland, New Zealand, but a final decision will be made by the end of this month.
The tour is set to take place at the same time as the Lions visit to New Zealand.
A World Rugby delegation will travel to Tonga and Samoa in the next few weeks to assess the facilities before making a decision.
Wales last tour to the Pacific Islands was in 1994.
