Veitongo Football Club in OFC qualifiers [1]

Tongan domestic football club, Veitonga FC competed in a regional club qualifying competition in the Cook Islands last week, held from January 26-30.
Veitongo FC came last in the competition, losing all of its games against teams Kiwi FC (Samoa), Utulei (American Samoa) and Tupapa Maraerenga FC (Cook Islands). The team was thrashed by Kiwi FC (7 – 1) and Tupapa Maraerenga (7 – 0), and narrowly defeated by Utulei (3 - 2).
Kiwi FC were declared champions after winning all of their games. The Samoan based club will now have the opportunity to participate in a prestigious regional football club competition known as the OFC Champions League.
