Tonga A loses to Samoa A 27 -18 [1]

Tonga A was defeated by Samoa A, 27 – 18 on March 4 in Sydney, Australia.
Tonga A was leading at half-time 10 – 5 with a converted penalty goal from fly-half Viliami Hakalo and a converted try by full-back, Otulea Katoa. Samoa’s only first-half try was scored by their captain Maselino Paulino.
Despite the first half-lead, Tonga A was unable to contain the Samoans in the second-half, Samoa A scored two tries in the second half and were leading 27 – 13.
Tonga A managed to close the gap at the end of the match with the last try scored by centre Toni Fusimalohi.
Tonga’s next game is against ACT A this Sunday, March 9.
