Four people were hurt  in a two car collision, at Pahu this morning. A car went through the block wall of a property and another vehicle hit a telephone pole in the crash on the corner of Railway Road and Hala Holomui.

The driver of the vehicle that hit a pole and his passenger, a child, were taken to Vaiola Hospital by the police. They were suffering from head and leg injuries. Another child in the same vehicle appeared to have minor injuries.

The woman driver of a company car that went through the wall, was also injured and remained at the scene.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged.

Residents on the intersection said the “Stop” signs were removed during road works last year and had not been replaced. There have been several collisions on the intersection since the road works were completed.
