Tonga winless in Wellington Sevens [1]

Tonga has come out empty handed in this year’s Wellington Sevens, losing all of its five games.
The two day tournament which ended last Saturday, 8 February was won by New Zealand with a decisive victory over South Africa 21 - 0.
Tonga was outclassed on Day 1 of the tournament against highly ranked opponents Australia, Samoa and Kenya.
Tonga was thrashed by Australia 5 – 33, Samoa 7 – 31 and Kenya 7 – 40. Tonga’s single tries were scored in the form of Tasi Ma’u (against Australia), 'Ofa Finau (against Samoa) and Selu Vailea (against Kenya).
Day 2 saw better results for Tonga with narrow losses to Wales 19 – 12 and Spain 17 – 12. Tonga’s two tries against Wales were scored by Sosefo Ma’ake and Selu Vailea. Tonga’s two tries against Spain were scored by Tasi Ma’u and Sosefo Ma’ake.
