Bruno Banani, Tonga's first ever winter Olympian, to compete in Luge in Sochi, Russia, next week will wear flamboyant snow proof uniform, sponsored by German firm Bogner.
 
Bruno qualified for the 22nd Winter Olympics to be held on February 7-23, after finishing in 28th position out of 42 competitors at the World Cup Championship race final held in December last year, in Park City, USA.

The Bogner launch of the specially designed Tongan team uniforms was attended by Willy Bogner, Sonia Bogner, Louise Waterhouse and Guenter Raedler.

Bruno's Manager Mathias Ihle, is Tonga's Chef de Mission with Isabel Barchinski as his coach for the Winter Olympics.

TASANOC office in Nuku’alofa confirmed today that also attending the Winter Olympics from Tonga will be TASANOC-President Lady Robyn Tu’ivakano and Secretary-General Takitoa Taumoepeau.
