2013 school year ends in Nuku’alofa [1]

The 2013 school year for primary and secondary schools in Tongatapu comes to an end this week marked with festivities and the annual prizing giving ceremonies.

Today the Hillard Memorial School of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, which has over 300 students Class 1 to Form 2, ended their school year with a Closing Exercise Program at Pahu. Dr Raelyan ‘Esau the Dean of the Tonga Institute of Education attended as guest of honour.

The Dux of the school was awarded to Ranji Lilian Sina Lavemai a Form 2 student residing in Holonga, Tongatapu.

Government primary schools including some secondary schools held their end of year functions last week, while some secondary schools, including Tonga High School will be have their prizing giving on 5 November, followed by Higher Education Institutions next week.
