The Pacific Pearl cruise ship called into Nuku'alofa this morning with over 2,000 passengers and crew.
 
The Pacific Pearl, based in Australia visited Neiafu, Vava'u in northern Tonga yesterday October 15.

The 1,600 passengers of the Pacific Pearl, which included a few Tongan nationals kept the Talamahu market, shops and cafes in the Central Business District busy all day.

The Pacific Pearl departed for Fiji in the evening. 

A total of 17 cruise ships were initially booked to visit Tonga this year, but four has been cancelled. The Pacific Pearl was the ninth cruise ship to have visited Tonga this year.
