Tonga's Prime Minister Lord Tu'ivakano was discharged from New York's Bellevue Hospital today (NY time 1 October 2013).

His wife Lady Tu'ivakano reported this morning from New York that the Prime Minister will be rested at the Tonga High Commission residence.

Lord Tu'ivakano was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night for an emergency cardiac procedure after suffering chest pains.
