Pasifika nurses and doctors meet in Nuku'alofa [1]

HRH Princess Pilolevu officially opened the 16th Pasifika Medical Association Conference at the Fa'onelua Convention Centre, Nuku'alofa on Tuesday evening, 24 September.

The conference, the second to be held in Tonga since the establishment of PMA in 2008, attracted more than 100 doctors and nurses from Tonga and New Zealand.

The three-days conference, 24-27 September under the theme 'Youth of Today – Our Future Tomorrow' reviewed the health service in the Pacific region.

The membership of PMA is made up of doctors and nurses who are practicing in Tonga and New Zealand.

The next conference of PMA will be held in Port Vila, Vanuatu in 2014.
