Dear Editor,

We are just days away from the Oceania 2007 World Cup Qualifying rounds and both Samoa and Fiji have so far had the best preparations. The 'Ikale Tahi has yet to fully utilise its top players for reasons that I do not know.

Even though Fiji and Samoa were thrashed by both the All Blacks and the Wallabies respectively yet they learnt from the masters. What is Tonga's problem then? Do we have any adminstration within the TRFU who could negotiate and get a test instead of clubs to prepare for an important series of games? This is the Rugby World Cup for whatever....Look at the current IRB world ranking where is Tonga? Yeap number 20 and Fiji is 10 and Samoa is 12. Since when did countries like Japan, Georgia, Japan, and Romania and others become better our beloved 'Ikale Tahi? Well they are and we'd better live with it....it's a fact.

Why are we not playing our top players then? Ask the Tupou College Old Boys panel of selectors and coaching staff...opppsss. I think that I am not alone in thinking that the current 'Ikale Tahi squad is not the best we have. You have to go out there and try and spot the best as Tongans in New Zealand and Australian as there is no shortage of talents. I hope that the TRFU will do a better job this time around. Good Luck you will need it against the might of the Manu and the speed of the Fijians.

Malo,
