‘Ene‘io showcase wins awards at Vava‘u Agricultural Show [1]

King Tupou VI opened the third Royal Agricultural Show at the Niponi Grounds, Vava'u High School in Neiafu on Saturday, August 10. A Tu‘anekivale business, ‘Ene’io Enterprises Co. Ltd. won the Best Overall Booth and five other categories.
Lucy Fa’anunu who runs the business with husband Haniteli said on display was a range of their processed products including Pure Nonu Juice, Tongan fragrant oils, vanilla essence and beans, kava and their popular mango chutney.
“We also showcased our wood carvings, tapa pieces and crafts from coconut leaves,” said Lucy.
She said they were really happy to have won the top prize of the show for the best booth as well as placing first in five other categories, including the best tax allotment for growing timber trees.
The King, accompanied by Queen Nanasipau’u, will continue to open the agricultural shows for Ha’apai on August 14, and ‘Eua on August 17, before concluding with a two-day show in Tongatapu on August 23-24.
