Incredible as it may sound but two years after he was off the rugby field with a debilitating kidney disease, and only 11 months ago he was given a new kidney, Jonah was back in the rugby field.

On the night of June 4 at Twickenham, England Jonah led onto the field a Southern Hemisphere team made up of some of the big names in rugby such as Toutai Kefu, Eric Rush, Carlos Spencer and Troy Flavell to meet a Northern Hemisphere skippered by Martin Johnson, the renown English World Cup skipper.

The game was a farewell game for Martin who was going on his retirement from rugby after 16 years of playing top level rugby. For Jonah it was the beginning of a come back with an aim to find a place in the All Black squad for the 2007 World Cup.

The highlight of the game for Jonah was when he scored a try in the 34th minute of the first half, which thrilled the 42,100 crowd. Unfortunately, he hurt his shoulder during the try and did not play in the second half.

According to a match report from the Scrum Rugby Web site it was a very competitive game but at the end the north won 33-29. - Scrum.com
