Tonga U20’s fourth in Junior World Rugby Trophy [1]

Tonga’s Under 20 rugby team finished fourth place out of eight teams at the 2013 Junior World Rugby Trophy last week in Chile. The under-20’s rugby tournament, ended on Sunday June 9. Italy was crowned champions after defeating Canada.

Tonga failed to reach the final after losing two of its three pool games. Tonga beat Uruguay 35 – 20 but lost to Canada 6 – 24 and Japan 43 - 22.

The Junior World Rugby Trophy is a tournament organised for eight second-tier rugby teams that are not participating in the Junior Rugby World Cup in France.
