Noble Vaha'i (69) of Fo'’ui, one of the most colourful nobles of the realm, and the Tongatapu no. 1 Noble's Representative to Tonga's Legislative Assembly passed away at 11:30pm Saturday May 21 at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand.

His youngest daughter, Hon. Leanahola Vaha'i, confirmed today that Noble Vaha'’i died from a heart failure.

The Noble's remains will return Tonga early on Monday May 30 and his ...‘apo, Night of Mourning will he held the same evening at one of his estates, the village of Fo'ui, before burial at the village cemetery of Tutulu Pea Tau.

Noble Vaha'i is survived by his wife, HRH Princess '‘Elisiva Fusipala Vaha'i, and their two sons, two daughters, and two grandchildren. The issue are, Hon. Fatafehi Nikotimasi Laufilitonga Vaha'i, Hon. Siosifa '‘Alimatea Vaha'’i, Hon. 'Elisiva Tauki'onetuku Vete and Hon. .'‘Ofeina 'e he Langi Leanahola Vaha'’i.

Princess Fusipala has been residing in America during the past few years.

Noble Vaha'‘i was recently re-elected as a Tongatapu No. 1 Noble's Representative to the Tonga Legislative Assembly.
