Kaivai, a new bi-monthly English newspaper was launched by DRUA PR Media Company Ltd. a newly registered company in Nuku'alofa on Tuesday, March 19.

The company consists of Fijian and Tongan partners led by Iliesa Tora a journalist from Fiji, and including Vuvui Fotu and Salote Sisifa of the Tonga Broadcasting Commission, with 'Ilaivaha Tovehi and Soakai Malu.

At the launching event Iliesa said the newspaper would focus on issues regarding women, non-communicable diseases NCDs, tourism and climate change. "We believe these issues affect our daily lives here in Tonga and are important to get our attention," he said.

Iliesa said the company offers media, public relations and communication services to Tonga.

"We can write press releases, design and produce annual reports, newsletters, business cards, flyers, produce documentaries for TV and promotional radio ads and provide training to get maximum benefits from the media in promoting your serves and products," he said.

Lady Robyn Tu'ivakano who launched the first edition of Kaivai newspaper commended the new organization for its vision to become the best and most efficient company in Tonga and region.

"It is a significant vision and a timely one given the importance of being able to manage the flow of information between an individual, organization and the public," she said.

The event attended by Prime Minister Lord Tu'ivakano and guests was held at the Cottage Breeze restaurant in Sopu.
