State welcome for King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau'u in Wellington [1]

The New Zealand Governor-General, Lt Gen The Rt Hon Sir Jerry Mateparae, and Lady Janine Mateparae hosted a State Welcome for the King of Tonga, HM King Tupou VI, and HM Queen Nanasipau’u at Government House in Wellington on 25 February 2013.
There was a Guard of Honour and the King and Queen were introduced to other dignitaries, and there was a Haka performed by the Rongotai College students.
King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau'u will complete their official state visit to New Zealand today, Wednesday,27 February.
