Tonga College celebrates 130th Anniversary [1]

Tonga College is celebrating its 130th Anniversary in a four-day event that started on Thursday 6 December. King Tupou VI is expected to attend the commemoration service on Saturday 8 December at the 'Atele Indoor Stadium.
The celebration held today included a Tonga College Ex-students march from Lopaukamea II Hall to the 'Atele Indoor Stadium. Ex-students held a Roll Call followed by their Annual General Meeting.
Feasting and dancing was held in the afternoon at the Mana Mo'ui grounds with Hon. Halaevalu Moheofo Tuita as the guest of honour. Prince Tungi the President of the Tonga College Ex-students and Hon. Sione Ikamafana Tuita also attended.
The All Boys students performed traditional dances that included the me'etu'upaki, kailao and solo tau'olunga dances to hundreds of guests on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
The celebration continues on Sunday 9 December with a Thanksgiving Service. Crown Prince Tupouto'a 'Ulukalala will be the guest of honour at the 'Atele Indoor Stadium with more feasting to follow in the afternoon.
A farewell service held later on Sunday evening will conclude the celebration at the indoor stadium.
