The 'Ikale Tahi went down 23-28 after a hard-fought test against Italy at Stadio Mario Rigamonti, Brescia on Saturday, November 10.

Italy scored two tries, during the first half, both by two of their front rowers, Lorenzo Cittadini and Leonardo Ghiraldini. Only one of the tries were converted, but they were also successful with two converted penalties

The 'Ikale Tahi, during the first half also scored one converted try by 'Alisona Taumalolo, while Fangatapu 'Apikotoa was successful with two penalty conversions.

At half time Italy was leading 18-16.

During the second half, Italy was successful with a penalty conversion and they were also awarded a penalty try, which was also successfully converted, and they extended their lead to 28-16.

The 'Ikale Tahi fought back and in the dying minutes Fetu'u Vainikolo went over and scored. Fangatapu was on target with the conversion and the score was 28-23.

Unfortunately for the 'Ikale Tahi they were running out of time and at fulltime the score remain at 28-23.

There were three yellow cards during the game, taken by the Italy captain Sergio Parisse, and two 'Ikale Tahi players, vice-captain Vungakoto Lilo and Tukulua Lokotui.

The 'Ikale Tahi's next game will be against the American Eagles at Parc Eirias, Wales on Saturday, November 17.
