Police seek witnesses in assault and murder cases [1]

Tonga's Commissioner of Police said that the two officers arrested in connection with the death of New Zealand Police Officer Kali Fungavaka were today suspended from the police without pay. They would be suspended for two weeks which is the maximum period allowed under the Tongan Police Act. 

Police Commissioner O'Fee advised that a special Police operation would take place this Friday night, August 31, in the area of the "Time Out" bar on Hala Taufa'ahau, as police attempt is to locate more witnesses that may have seen Kali in the area on the night of August 17.
