Crown Prince Tupouto'a 'Ulukalala (27), first in line to the Tongan throne, will wed Hon Sinaitakala Tu'imatamoana 'i Fanakavalangi Fakafanua (25) on 12 July, 2012 at the Centenary Church, Saione in Nuku'alofa.

The Lord Chamberlain in a statement on April 20, announced the new date, after the royal wedding that was originally scheduled to be held on May 4 was postponed during the mourning period for the late king, HM George Tupou V.

Program

A new Royal Wedding program was released this morning by a family member, Tupou 'Ahome'e Tuita Faupula.

She said that the Ma'utohi, or the couple's marriage registration, would be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, July 10 at the Royal Palace in Nuku'alofa. This will be followed by the Fakalelea, or the celebration of the marriage by the families, at 3:30pm on the same afternoon, at the Siumafua'uta residence in Ma'ufanga.

The Royal Wedding service is to be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, July 12 at the Centenary Church, Saione and will be followed by a royal wedding feast and wedding reception at 4:00pm, in Mala'e Pangai.

On Friday, July 13 a Royal Ball to be held at 7:30pm at the International Dateline Hotel.

The royal couple's first Sunday will be held at 10:00am on Sunday, July 15 at the Centenary Church, to be followed by a royal luncheon at 12:30pm, in Mala'e Pangai.

Engagement

The royal couple had celebrated their engagement on January 20 this year, at the Observatory Hotel in Sydney.

Crown Prince Tupouto'a 'Ulukalala is the eldest son of HM King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau'u Tuku'aho.

Hon Sinaitakala is the only daughter of Princess 'Ofeina 'e he Langi Fakafanua and the late Lord Fakafanua (Tutoatasi).
