Buyer overlooks standard purchase procedures [1]

Editor,
It is standard procedure that when a purchase of a vessel or aircraft is being considered one normally has a survey performed. In this case there were slipways big enough for a haul out in Fiji.
This would have brought the "intent to purchase" to a screeching halt when the severe corrosion was observed. The Princess Ashika should be still rusting at anchor in Fiji. Such a sad situation when simple common sense rules are ignored at the peril of innocent lives.
