To the people of Tonga

I am a Wellington resident originally from Christchurch. While the earthquake has not affected me personally, it has severely affected my family and friends in Christchurch. My father lived in one of the worst hit areas, and his house is uninhabitable. My best friends children's school is so damaged that only a few classes can go back.

The earthquake was devastating for so many people, and the kindness and generosity of your people is absolutely outstanding and has really touched my heart. I for one will be the first to put my hand in my pocket should your country need it, but dearly hope you wont!
