A Tongan Under 20s national rugby squad for the IRB Junior Rugby World Championship in Italy from June 10 to 26 has been announced by the coach, Benhur Kivalu.

The 26-member squad will depart Tonga for New Zealand on May 30. Overseas members of the squad will join the team in Auckland, where they will play a warm-up game against the NZ Under 20s team for the World Championship on Thursday June 2, 3 pm at East Coast Bays Rugby Club, North Shore.

The team will leave New Zealand for Italy on June 5.

Benhur with confidence said that they are looking forward for the tournament in Italy. "The boys have been physically and mentally prepared for the clash," said Benhur Kivalu a former 'Ikale Tahi. He said that Tonga is in the same pool as Australia, France and Fiji.
