I have read some negative stories in the Tongan media about the 'Ikale Tahi, our Natioanal Rugby Team. These stories include the financial hardships, coachings, government take-over of the game and many more.

The result of 'Ikale Tahi's game last week is the reply by the organisation of the 'Ikale Tahi to its critics. Tonga won the game against Fiji by a big margin. According to Planet Rugby's news, Tonga's win elevated its position to the highest in IRB ranking since ranking was officially monitored in 2003. Tonga is ranked 12th now after they beat Fiji last week in Lautoka.

The Pacific Cup competition is still going but the 'Ikale Tahi answers its critic with a very convincing win over our neighbour Fiji, 45 -21. Let us give our support to the organisation of 'Ikale Tahi regardless of the result.

I do not know much about rugby but I know I am one of the 'Ikale Tahi's greatest fan. We'll be cheering from our Mama Kava here in California for the 'Ikale Tahi; not only the Pacific Cup but include big tournaments to come.
