Editor,

Reading responses to the Parliament of Tonga's decision of CEDAW at Matangi Tonga attracts one to think deeper and dig deep about our modern cultures, where Christianity is the cornerstone of our nation's foundation. If our nation has no reservations other than 100% compliance with all articles of CEDAW, our government has whole heartedly won my support.

Appreciate that Mr. Mokofisi and Hauoli are in favour of CEDAW expressing their rights and thoughts as public debaters. They had questioned Tonga equality ethics and logics being addressed by authorizes, of which authorities is being branded as "good old boys club". What I tend to question is: 1. U.S.A had endorsed CEDAW for about 29 years and had resolved full compliance by all states?; 2. Whether Mr. Mokofisi and Hauoli understand and witness Tonga way of life or just want a jump start on Human Rights Movement for Women Affairs? If our future generation diverts from what we believe is best for Tonga now, let the future generation decide for themselves in their own time and house rules of equality.

Mr. Fale had outlined vital factors which are relevant, appropriate and sufficient for a rational summation of the real factors issue related to Tonga situation and also, its environment in all aspects of life.

Adam and mankind shall die once based on man loving nature without questioning and think deeper about proposal presented by Eve. Mr. Fusimalohi had outlined why we should support part of CEDAW and why some dark sides of CEDAW should not be accepted by Tonga. I would say that Mr. Fale and Mr. Fusimalohi are the new breed of Adam who listen to women's requests, while the response is an in-depth reasoning and necessity of sustainable way of life in a small island.

Malo 'a e talanga pea tau taumu'a'aki pe 'a e ikuna pe ikuna'i te tau fiefia pe!

'I he Faka'apa'apa Mo'oni,

Kisione Taufa
