Luani new Governor of Vava'u [1]

Noble Luani was appointed on July 1 as the new Governor of Vava'u, in a ceremony at his home Tali ki Vava'u at Kolofo'ou, Nuku'alofa.
The Lord Chamberlain Mrs Viela Tupou read out the letter of appointment from HM King George Tupou V.
Luani replaces the former Governor of Vava'u position Hon Tu'a Taumoepeau Tupou who was appointed as Tonga's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in May.
Noble Luani is currently a Noble's Representative for Vava'u in the Tongan Parliament.
He is married to Hon Luseane Luani, a daughter of Baroness Tuputupu and the late Baron Vaea.
