Japan opens an Embassy in Nuku'alofa [1]

The Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Tonga has been officially established on January 1, 2009.

The new Embassy Office will be opened on the 5th floor of the National Reserve Bank of Tonga NRBT Building in a few months time. And it will operate in the temporary office at the Lagoon Lodge, 'Umusi, Ma'ufanga, Nuku'alofa (P.O. Box 330) until the refurbishment work on the 5th floor of NRBT will be completed.

The telephone number of the temporary office is 22221 and the FAX number is 27025. The working hours of the office will be from 8:30 to 12:30 in the morning and from 13:30 to 16:30 in the afternoon.

The Government of Japan has decided to open an Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Tonga in view of the very cordial and friendly relations existing between Japan and the Kingdom of Tonga. Japanese Embassy, Nuku'alofa, 05/01/08.
