The King of Tonga's Coronation Military Parade held on the morning of Saturday August 2, was attended by foreign royals and distinguished guests from many Pacific Islands and other countries.
Japan's Crown Prince Naruhito, Thailand's Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Tonga's royal family watched the military parade. Also attending were the Governor Generals of Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea and other Pacific islands heads of state.
