Mataika man arrested in connection with car theft [1]

A 35-year-old male from Mataika was arrested on 21 March 2026, in connection with the theft of a red Nissan Juke used by a Digicel staff member for work and delivery of Digicel cards.

Tonga Police says in addition to the stolen vehicle, cash and bundles of Digicel cards were also reported missing.

The suspect remains in police custody while the investigation is ongoing.

Tonga Police urged members of the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity.
