New Zealand ex-students of Queen Salote College performed a vibrant maʻuluʻulu at a second royal luncheon celebrating the school’s centennial, at Pangai Lahi in Nukuʻalofa today.

The performance for King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipauʻu was presented on behalf of all Queen Salote College ex-students around the world and led by their punake, Mele Latu.

During the presentation, the group gifted a $100,000 paʻanga tekiteki and traditional koloa, to Queen Nanasipauʻu, the President of the Queen Salote College Old Girls Association.

The royal luncheon was prepared by Princess Angelika Latufuipeka Halaevalu Mataʻaho Napua ʻOkalani Tukuʻaho, with Princess Halaevalu Mataʻaho Tukuʻaho and the families of current students. Princess Angelika is an ex-student of the college.

The luncheon followed a morning march that saw more than 1,000 Queen Salote College ex-students walk from Malaʻe Māʻamaloa to the Free Wesleyan Centenary Church.

At the church service, a new history book titled ‘Centennial History of Queen Salote College 1926–2026’ was blessed.
