A 34-year-old man from Talafo'ou was arrested on 26 February 2026 following information received by Tonga Police alleging that he was selling methamphetamine and cannabis within the Talafo'ou and Navutoka communities.

Police arrested and charged the man after executing a search at the his residence where they located illicit drugs, drug-related utensils, and cash believed to be proceeds of crime. Their investigations are ongoing.

Tonga Police stated that it is commitedto combating illegal drug activity and protecting the safety and wellbeing of the community.
