Police arrest two in Havelu for drug-related offences [1]

Two individuals from Havelu have been arrested and charged following a Tonga Police drugs operation conducted in Havelu on Thursday, 29 January 2026.

The suspects, a 43-year-old male and a 36-year-old female, both from Havelu, were taken into custody after police officers carried out an operation targeting illicit drug activity in the area.

During the operation, several packs of suspected cannabis, drug utensils, and cash were seized from the scene, Tonga Police stated today.

"Both suspects have been charged with Possession of Illicit Drugs and Possession of Drug Utensils."

Tonga Police urge the public to continue supporting police efforts by reporting any suspicious activities to 922 or to the nearest police station.
