King plants a friendship grass in Fuzhou during China state visit [1]

During a state visit to China, King Tupou VI planted "Friendship Grass" at  the National Engineering Research Center of Juncao Technology, during his first stop at Fuzhou, capital of Fujian Province, at the weekend.

The King, Queen Nanasipauʻu, Ambassador of China to Tonga, HE Liu Weimin, and other Tongan officials. were warmly received by the Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, Mr. Zhou Zuyi.

Th visit included the "3820" Strategic Project Exhibition Center, which showcases Fujian’s development, and a stop at Fujian University of Technology, to view an exhibition on Austronesian cultures.

Ningde

The royal party travelled to Ningde, a city known for sustainable development and clean energy innovation, where they had  lunch with the Secretary of the CPC Ningde Municipal Committee, Mr. Zhang Yongning, and visited the Museum of Poverty Alleviation.

The Embassy of China in Tonga stated, "This experience resonated as both China and Tonga pursue sustainable growth tailored to our peoples' needs – each in our own context, but with shared dedication to progress."

The tour included a visit to the Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited, a global innovator in new energy technology.

Xi'an, Shaanxi Province

Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, was the third stop of their state visit to China, where they met with the Secretary of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, Mr. Zhao Yide.

At the Museum of the Terracotta Warriors, a UNESCO World Heritage site, King Tupou VI wrote in the guestbook, "What a wonderful treasure for the world of humanity that China has been entrusted with.”
