Farewell parade for retiring Tonga Police Superintendent [1]

A Farewell Parade was held by Tonga Police today for Superintendent Siaosi Paseka who is retiring after 37 years of service. He was celebrated by the police force and police partners from Australian Federal Police and New Zealand Police, families and friends at the Tonga Police College, in Longolongo.
Police Commissioner Shane McLennan presented a Long Service Certificate and gifts to Supt. Siaosi, a token for his long and dedicated services to Tonga Police. "For 37 years, your commitment and contributions to our Kingdom is greatly appreciated," McLennan said.
Paseka joined Tonga Police as a probationary officer in 1987, then became an investigator, a Sergeant, and progressed through the ranks to be Detective Chief Inspector and the manager of the Professional Standards Unit.
"Being a guardian of communities wherever I have served has been the most rewarding part of my career with Tonga Police," said Paseka.
"I came in as a young probation constable and today leave Tonga Police as a Superintendent of Police. A testament of great things that Tonga Police has created for me and my family over the years."
Paseka was a member of Tonga Police contingent to the Regional Assistance Mission for the Solomon Islands (RAMSI), for a year, in 2004-2005.
He became Superintendent of Police on 20 July 2022, and Officer Commanding Police, at Neiafu, Vava'u, police district number five.
He was transferred to police district number three as District Commander at Nukunuku police station on 29 April 2024, where he is currently serving and will officially conclude his service this Saturday, 2 November 2024.
