TRFU Inquiry starts Friday [1]

A Committee of Inquiry, set up to investigate the $513,831 missing from the accounts of the Tonga Rugby Football Union, will meet for the first time tomorrow, February 8.
'Aminiasi Kefu, the Amicus Curiae said yesterday, that the committee was established at the TRFU Annual General Meeting in December 21 last year.
Committee members are: Chairman, Sione Taumoepeau, the secretary for the TRFU, Angus Naupoto; representative of rugby clubs, Tu'i Uata; representative of referees, Siosaia Fonua, the former CEO of the TRFU; and 'Aminiasi Kefu.
'Aminiasi said that the TRFU is scheduled to meet in March and if the investigation of the committee of inquiry is completed then the TRFU could make a decision on what to do next.
Meanwhile, a court order issued on January 18 ordered that the application submitted by Sione Taumoepeau to the Supreme Court against Siosaia Fonua be referred for the mediation process for a possible settlement out of court.
