Inter-collegiate athletics competition sparks anticipation among fans [1]

Tonga will hold its 97th Inter-Collegiate Athletics Competition starting next week from 2-5 April.

Social media has been buzzing with trending pictures and videos of sport teams from different secondary schools in the past days, including Liahona and Apifo'ou.

It has sparked excitement across the country among fans, waiting to cheer on their teams at Teufaiva Stadium in Nuku'alofa.

Teams from the outer islands, ‘Eua, Ha’apai and Vava’u arrived in Nuku’alofa this week to participate in the competition.

This year’s competition will begin about 19 days earlier compared to last year.
