Mataliki defeats Vanuatu and girls regain fighting chance [1]

A win for Tonga’s Mataliki girls, has given them a fighting chance to secure a spot at the semifinals in the OFC Women’s Olympic Qualifier, held at Apia Samoa.
The Mataliki team won (2-1) against Vanuatu last week on Saturday, 10 February. They were able to protect their win thanks to an amazing performance by woman of the match, the goal keeper, Madison Tenifa.
Madison protected their goal in the last six minutes of the game securing their win against Vanuatu. She said that they really needed this win in order to have a chance for semifinals.
The Mataliki girls will be playing against Samoa tomorrow 13 February, fighting for a spot at the semifinals.
