HM King George Tupou V will return to Tonga on Saturday, January 26 after a two months extended trip to the United Kingdom and abroad.

Suka 'Otukolo, the Acting Secretary at the Palace Office, Nuku'alofa, said King George V is currently in London.

The king who left Tonga on November 24, 2007 spent Christmas in Switzerland and celebrated the New Year in Rome, Italy. During his extended trip he also visited Moscow, Hong Kong and Japan.

The king is accompanied by his Private Secretary Sateki 'Ahio and other attendants.

In Tonga HRH Princess Salote Mafile'o Pilolevu Tuita is currently the Princess Regent.
