Couple arrested and charged with bodily harm in pizzeria incident [1]

After an affray at a pizzeria in the Nuku'alofa CBD yesterday 12 December, a husband (44) and wife (45) were to appear in the Magistrate's Court today, 13 December, charged with causing bodily harm. Tonga Police said the case was still under investigation and further charges may follow.
Cmdr. Filipe Fifita of Tonga Police said today that the couple had been arrested and charged with bodily harm. He said that the two suspects were to appear before a judge at the Nuku'alofa Court today at 2:00pm, in accordance to the normal policing procedures.
The Police are investigating a complaint made by the owners of Top Pizza in Hala Taufa'ahau.
"Judging by the nature of this case, there's a possibility that more charges will follow - but that depends on the evidence that'll be gathered," he said.
The Police are investigating allegations of breaking and tresspassing of private property, damaging of property and assault.
A noisy incident outside the Top Pizza was captured on a video published on social media on 12 December, before it was taken down. The video showed over 10 individuals, including children, at the scene, kicking and throwing objects including a coconut, at the pizzeria.
