'Ahopanilolo Institute awards certificates to 104 graduates [1]

'Ahopanilolo Institute awarded certificates to 104 graduates of the Level 2-4 career programs, in a joyful ceremony that recognised the collective achievements of the graduates, held at the Sir Sofele Hall, Apifo’ou College, Nuku'alofa, on Wednesday, 22 November.
The programs covered in this year's graduation included the National Certificate for Work Readiness and Employability Skills, Introduction of Hairdressing, Hospitality and Accommodation Services, Hospitality Commercial Cookery and Catering, and Tourism Fashion and Design.
The National Certificate for Work Readiness and Employability Skills Program was introduced in July 2022.
This year, however, the customary practice of awarding Dux and Top Overall Student awards was repealed. Instead, the focus remained on recognizing the collective achievements of the graduates.
The certificates were presented by the Ambassador for Japan in Tonga, HE Mr Kensaku Munenaga, emphasizing the international collaboration in education.

Three students graduated under the Marian Foundation program, a program designed to support students with the incapability to preform well on "in-classroom activities" such as tests and exams. While they are expected to participate in practical activities and graduate, they do not qualify for the National Certificate, which is awarded to the rest of the programs.
The National Certificate, helps graduates to pursue opportunities in both local and international employment.
Another 15 students under a Counseling Program named ‘Hala ki Emeasi Counseling’ will also graduate alongside students of the St Joseph Business College on Thursday, 22 November.
